Blepharoplasty in Newark

When the delicate skin around the eyes becomes loose and sagging, it can make us look more tired than we actually feel. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, improves the appearance of upper eyelids, lower eyelids, or both to make individuals look younger and more refreshed. Bags under the eyes can also be corrected with eyelid surgery. Patients interested in eyelid surgery will meet with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons for an initial consultation. At Nouveau Cosmetic Center and Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in Newark, your surgeon will help you create realistic expectations for surgery and help you determine your best options for treatment. Your surgeon will also address any questions or concerns you may have regarding the procedure.

Blepharoplasty Procedure

During eyelid surgery in Newark, excess eyelid skin and fat are removed and the eyelid area is smoothed, creating a more vibrant, alert expression. Incisions are made in areas that are well concealed within the natural structures of the eyelid region and heal quite well. The procedure is often performed on an outpatient basis but can be combined with other facial procedures.

Blepharoplasty Recovery

Bruising and swelling will last for approximately one week, becoming progressively minimal. Any pain or discomfort that you may experience can be managed with medication. Most patients will need around two weeks before they feel comfortable returning to work and resuming most of their normal activities.

I had an amazing experience with both Dr. Chang and his staff! I’ve referred multiple friends to him already. He was very helpful with explaining everything to me and making sure I received exactly what I wanted. I have zero complaints, I love my results!
