A face lift is a surgical procedure that is known to produce dramatic effects. It reverses signs of aging by smoothing and tightening skin and underlying muscles of the face and neck. If you are interested in a face lift, one of our board certified plastic surgeons at Advanced Plastic Surgery Center and Nouveau Cosmetic Center will discuss options available to you for facelift and facial rejuvenation. Your surgeon will work to formulate reasonable expectations for surgery, and go over questions and concerns you may have about the procedure during your initial consultation. Together, you and your surgeon will devise the right treatment plan for you.
- Reverse Signs of Aging
- Improvement of sagging/lose skin of the face
- Younger, more youthful appearance
- Natural appearing results
- Often combined with other procedures including neck lift, fat transfer, eyelid surgery, and brow lift.
During the face lift procedure, incisions often begin in the hairline at the temples, continuing around the ear and ending in the lower scalp, making the scars barely visible and well hidden. Next, excess fat and skin are removed from the face to tighten and improve the patient’s facial contours and reduce sagging and bag lines. Skin is repositioned and sutures are put in place to close the incisions. A second incision under the chin may be necessary to further improve the contours of the aging neck.
Patients look younger and more refreshed after face lift surgery. Your surgeon may suggest other procedures in combination with a face lift in order to attain your desired cosmetic goals. Fat transfer, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, or a variety of non-surgical procedures can be performed in combination as well.
