The Vi Peel is effective and safe to use on all types and colors of skin. It can be used for the legs, arms, back, chest, face, back, and neck, and is the only chemical peel that is safe to use for the under-eye area. It is painless and also requires very minimal downtime. The Vi Peel is a blend of TCA or Trichloroacetic Acid, Vitamin C, Salicylic Acid, Tretinoin Acid, Phenol, and other minerals that work together to:
- Remove the damaged/dead layers of the skin safely
- Promote cellular skin growth
- Refine the skin’s surface layer
This treatment is essential in achieving firmer, smoother, and clearer skin that appears more radiant and youthful.
Who Is The Vi Peel For?
The ideal candidates for the VI Peel include those who are medium to fair skin color and who have skin that needs some help. Who want to improve their damaged skin, get rid of acne and acne scars and reverse any early signs of skin aging.
If you have a darker skin tone, it is better to consult with your dermatologist first before getting this treatment done as the VI peel is known to cause hyperpigmentation for people with darker skin tones.
How Is The VI Peel Done?
A VI Peel, for most people, is a relatively painless treatment. But those with more sensitive skin types may experience a moderate to mild tingling or burning sensation that is mostly tolerable without the use of any pain medication or topical anesthetic. The doctor may use a cooling device to further minimize any pain or discomfort.
During the VI Peel, the skin is first cleansed, then the solution is applied evenly in two phases:
- First to penetrate the skin cells located on the surface of the skin,
- Secondly, to go deep down into the dermis, where the dead skin cells and toxins are.
The Vi Peel treatment typically takes about 20 to 45 minutes to complete. The solution dries quite quickly and you can resume daily activities, but you must wait 5 hours at least before you wash it off.
What Are the Benefits of Vi Peel ™?
Post-treatment or home care involves the use of special peel-off wipes rich in Retin-A as well as other minerals to help you stimulate the skin peeling and heighten results.
Once the skin peels off, you can see minor improvements in your skin immediately, but the full results will take between 4 to 6 weeks to show, at which point your skin will be much firmer, clearer, and smoother. You’ll have a more youthful and radiant glow than before.
