The Procedure The first step is to evaluate if Coolsculpting is right for you. A complimentary consultation at our Newark, Hockessin, Middletown, Wilmington, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland office can be done to evaluate your history and tell you if Coolsculpting would be right for you. Developed by Harvard scientist, Coolsculpting uses a unique, patented clinically proven procedure that freezes fat cells without damage to your skin. An applicator is applied to the area of your concern and uses suction to draw up the area into the applicator. Then the freezing begins. Most clients feel very comfortable and relax during treatment. Coolsculpting by Zeltiq takes one hour per treatment area. It is common to often have multiple treatment areas done in one day. After Coolsculpting, you can resume all normal activites. Results Coolsculpting is an FDA approved treatment to remove unwanted fat. Results can be seen in as few as three weeks and continue for up to three months. On average, you can expect to see a 20 - 25% reduction of fat per Coolsculpting treatment. You can lose more with more than one Coolsculpting. Fat cells are naturally eliminated from the body. Most people report that their clothes fit better and they feel better about themselves.
CryolipolysisCryolipolysis™ is the non-invasive cooling of adipose tissue to induce lipolysis - the breaking down of fat cells - to reduce body fat without damage to other tissues. The scientific principles of Cryolipolysis were discovered by Dermatologists Dieter Manstein, MD, PhD and R. Rox Anderson, MD, of the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. The physicians and their team conducted research that demonstrated that under carefully controlled conditions, subcutaneous fat cells are naturally more vulnerable to the effects of cold than other surrounding tissue. Their initial work, published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine in November 2008, showed that:
Based on their research findings, the investigators concluded "prolonged, controlled local tissue cooling can induce selective fat cell reduction and subsequent loss of subcutaneous fat, without damaging the overlying skin." This discovery, called "selective Cryolipolysis," led to the development of the patented technology behind the non-invasive CoolSculpting® Procedure. Why the CoolSculpting Procedure Is Different How Non-Invasive Cryolipolysis Works
Our team at Nouveau Medispa can tell if Coolsculpting would be right for you. If you can squeeze it, we can freeze it!
