Dr. Joseph J. Thornton is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon specializing in cosmetic procedures of the body: Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Tummy Tuck, Liposuction, Labiaplasty, and "Mommy Makeover" and of the face: Rhinoplasty, Blepharoplasty, Browlift, Facelift and Necklift.

Dr. Thornton's education began at Haverford College, with a bachelor's degree in 1997; he continued at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine receiving his medical doctorate in 2001. Following six years of extensive plastic surgery training at Albany Medical Center in New York, he joined Advanced Plastic Surgery Center in 2007.  Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery followed in 2008.

What does board certification mean?

The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the only board sanctioned  by the American Board of Medical Specialties for plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery of the whole body, from head to toe.  Don't trust your body to just anyone, ensure they have the best training and meet the exacting standards of the board.  Their mission statement reads as follows..
